Run Fitness Training

Helping you start your journey into running, incorporating strength and mobility work in small group run sessions aimed at the complete beginner or those who have some running experience but want help to improve their technique and increase confidence.

Do you want to learn to run so that you can benefit from this cheap and accessible form of exercise?

Do you lack the confidence to join a running club or just prefer the more personal attention you get from small group training?

Have you tried online programs but want the benefit of training with a coach and with others who share your goals?

Then my small group run training sessions are what you need. Sessions will be split into 6-week blocks enabling new runners to start at the beginning and gradually build up strength and cardio fitness, with the end goal of feeling confident to run (or run/walk) a 5km Park Run or similar by the end of the 6-weeks.

How can I help?

Firstly, I will ask you to complete a pre-activity questionnaire so that I can identify any issues that may require additional support prior to you joining the run programme.

Sessions will be between 30-45 minutes and will include a mix of strength and mobility work to help reduce the likelihood of injury occurring as well as running. For beginners, the running section of the sessions will be run-walk focused enabling everyone to join in so you can build up at your own pace. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 8 people so you will get plenty of individual attention and meet others starting out just like you.
