Soft Tissue Therapy incorporates the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of minor and chronic injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. It uses a combination of hands-on techniques including sports massage to improve mobility, increase flexibility and reduce pain associated with musculoskeletal issues including joint pains, low back pain, strains and sprains.
The benefits of Soft Tissue Therapy include:
If you have a recent injury or have been struggling with on-going muscle aches and pains, soft tissue therapy can help to reduce pain and restore function. Your first appointment will be used to fully assess your issue in order to determine the most appropriate course of action. Treatments are tailored to your individual needs and will generally incorporate deep tissue massage alongside other methods such as soft tissue release, neuromuscular and muscle energy techniques and frictions.
As well as treatment during your appointment, a bespoke programme of exercises and advice can be provided where necessary to support you in managing your return to activity following injury or to overcome long term problems to address the underlying cause of your issues and reduce the risk of recurrent injuries.
